L. Anne Robinett
Memorial services for L. Anne Robinett, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2004, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Pastor Tom Roberson, of Oakland Heights Baptist Church, officiating. She died peacefully in her Denver, Colorado home Saturday, October 9. Interment will be in Rosewood Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Robinett was born September 28, 1925, in Keystone, West Virginia, to John and Rebecca Terry. She married her beloved husband Adam Robinett, a chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy at that time, on October 24, 1944. Mrs. Robinett, known as Anne to those close to her, devoted her life to the support of her husband in his career as a mining engineer and to the raising of the couples children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her devoted love for husband and family, her strong Christian faith, and her fond memories of the mountains of West Virginia, Utah, and Colorado.
Mrs. Robinett was preceded in death by her husband Adam, who died in Longview, Texas on April 30, 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Sharron Vestal Duffner of Princeton, West Virginia; daughter Nancy Robinett and her husband John Hamlin of Littleton, Colorado; son Robert Robinett and his wife Debi of Garland, Texas; son Jeff Robinett and his wife Donna of Princeton, West Virginia; daughter Melody Robinett of Shreveport, Louisiana; daughter Joy Fambro and her husband Bill of Biloxi, Mississippi; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Mills and her husband Robert of Bluefield, West Virginia; a brother, Landon Terry of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews from her three sisters and three brothers.
