Kevin Lane Moore, 38 of Lake Cherokee went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday morning, February 11, 2005.
His loving wife, Dee Moore and two precious sons, Kasey and Kaleb Moore survive Kevin. His family was the joy of his life and he loved being a husband and a dad. His home was a gathering place where his family and many friends were always welcomed and loved. He took great joy in cooking out on the grill for those dear to him.
The loves of Kevin?s life were the Lord, his family, his friends, and his music. From his high school days of playing in the PT Express at Pine Tree High School until the Lord called him home, music was always a big part of his life.
After attending Kilgore College, where he met his wife, they joined his parents and brother in establishing the family business, RDA Pro Mart Beauty Supply, Incorporated of Longview and Tyler. Kevin served as a Vice President on the Board of Directors.
Kevin was born in Longview on February 18, 1966. He is survived by his parents, Reverend Ken Moore and Ann Moore of Longview; his friend and brother, Kris Moore; sister-in-law, Linda Moore; their daughters and Kevin?s nieces, Sydney and Morgan Moore; beloved grandparents, J.G. and Nadine London; uncle Glenn and aunt Kay Richardson and his uncle Jack and aunt Peggy London; cousins, Stacey Kirkindoll and his wife Michelle, and Neil Richardson.
His surviving father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Marvyn Floyd of Kilgore were a special part of his life. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, David Floyd; his brother-in-law, Mike, sister-in-law, Kelley Ward and their sons and Kevin?s nephews, Clint and Camden Ward. He is also survived by a grandmother, Ganelle Moore of Quitman. He was preceded in death by his granfather, Kenneth M. Moore.
He leaves behind many dear friends and customers whom he loved dearly. Among those was a special life long friend, Chris Deslatte.
Kevin and his family attended Mobberly Baptist Church where he also attended the Jack Carroll Small Group Bible Fellowship Class.
Please join us for a celebration of his life on Monday, February 14, 2005 at Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview, 625 East Loop 281. Close family friend Dr. Keith Rothra will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park?s Garden of Roses under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM Sunday, February 13, 2005 at the funeral home.
