Kerri Lynn Monroe Jones' Obituary
A visitation for Kerri Lynn Monroe Jones will be Tuesday evening, January 26th, from 5 – 7 PM at Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She was born April 20, 1968, in Wabash, Indiana and passed away January 22, 2016 at the age of 47 due to complications from a brain tumor. There will a private family service held at a later date.
Kerri was a 1986 graduate of Sabine High School. She attended Kilgore College and Houston Community College. After college she worked at a number of area restaurants and was a manager for Red Lobster and El Chico’s. She was a talented artist and loved writing. Her favorite saying was “If you see someone without a smile give them one of your's”.
Her niece nicknamed her Aunt Carrots, a name we say with a smile. The joy of her life was her son, nephews and niece. Anyone who knew Kerri knew what a kind, caring and compassionate heart she had.
Those left to cherish her memory is her son, Dalton N. Jones of Austin, TX, Mother, Patricia (Pat) Mizell of Longview; Father, David Monroe of Kilgore; Sister and Brother-in-law, Genia and Jason Horn of Spring Hill; Sister, Patti McDonald of Gladewater. Nephews and Niece: Michael and David McDonald of Gladewater, Carson, Colby and Carly Horn of Springhill. She is also survived by her extended family Bobby Mizell, Beverly Monroe, Greg Akard and very special friends Becky Hendrix and Darlene Bishop.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice. She would have wanted that.
A memorial guestbook may be signed online at www.raderfh.com.
