Kermit Theolphus Mize, Jr's Obituary
K.T. Mize, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, went to be with the Lord on August 21st 2008 at the tender age of 64, after a lengthy battle against cancer.
Celebration of his life on earth will be held on Saturday August 23rd 2008, at 10 AM, in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, Longview TX, with Pastor Jay McCasland, of North Longview Baptist Church, officiating and Reverend James Pierce assisting. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Park Cemetery of Longview TX. Visitation will be Friday 22nd from 6pm – 8pm at Rader Funeral Home.
K.T. attended North Longview Baptist Church, where he and his wife Barbara were faithful members.
K.T. was born on October 15, 1943 in Denison, Texas. He was born to the late Kermit Theolphus Mize Sr. and Reta Adna Russell Mize. He built and established Longview Lawn and Garden Equipment on West Marshall Ave. in 1982. The business will be carried on by his family. K.T. loved his family, friends, and church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
K.T. was preceded in death by his parents Kermit Mize Sr. and Reta Mize. He is survived by Wife Barbara Willis Mize of Gilmer, TX, Children Tony Mize Lisa of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Corey Mize Jennifer of Gladewater, TX, Keenan Mize Traci of Gilmer, TX, and Jennifer Johnson David of Hallsville, TX, Grandchildren Kimberly Mize of Tyler, TX, Kristina Mize of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Dakota Mize of Gladewater, TX, Kacie Mize of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Montana Mize of Gladewater, TX, Nathan Mize of Gilmer, TX, Lauren Mize of Gilmer, TX, and David Head of Gladewater, TX, Sister Patsy Ann Thornton of Lindale TX, Niece Karen Rigsby Ken of Lindale TX, Great Niece and Nephew Kelli Wright of Leander, TX and Kenny Rigsby Julie of Tyler, TX, Special Friends Ronny and Becky Norris of Winona, TX, Pets Buffy, Sweetie, and Boots, and a host of extended family.
