Kenneth W. Howald
Memorial services for Kenneth W. Howald, 88, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1300 Judson Rd., Longview, TX 75601 with Pastor Darrell Howanitz officiating. Born August 21, 1922 in St. Louis, MO, Kenneth passed away at a local nursing home in Longview on October 2, 2010.
Greeting him upon his arrival on the distant shores was his Lord Jesus, his wife, Dixie, his adult daughter, Roxanne Sherry, his mother and father, other brothers and sisters and a crowd of witnesses.
Kenneth is survived by his loving children, Pamela H. Bell David of Longview, TX and Kenneth F. Howald Kathy of St. Louis, MO, sister Betty Simms of Hilton Head, NC, brother Robert Sarah of Sebastopol, CA, several grandchildren and three great grandchildren, cousins, nieces ad nephews.
Originally from St. Louis, MO, Kenneth served his country in the US Army then worked for the National Archives and Records Administration from which he retired. He and his wife enjoyed many years at their home in the country as well as traveling spending time with their children.
Our Dad greatly enlarged our lived, for which we are eternally thankful. He is missed already. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1300 Judson Jd., Longview, TX 75601.
