Kenneth Wayne White's Obituary
Born in Pine Hill, Texas on April 14, 1939 and passed away at his home in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas with his family by his side on Friday, October 26, 2018.
Kenneth graduated from Henderson High School in the class of 1957, where he excelled in sports, playing quarterback in football and catcher in baseball. He later worked his way through Kilgore College and The University of Texas in Austin, Texas. After completing his education, he was employed by Upjohn Chemical Company and later Dow Chemical for 35 years as a HazMat engineer. He traveled extensively in Europe inspecting Tanker Ships and was always on call for railroad derailments involving company products.
His life was forever changed on May 10, 1975 when he married the Love of his life, Elizabeth Jean Costa. Retiring in May 1994, Ken and Jean moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas to allow him to pursue his avid career as an amateur golfer.
Kenneth’s memory will live on through his wife, Jean; son, Anthony Wayne (Robin) White of Odessa, TX; grandchildren, Kenneth Michael White of Lamarque, TX, Katherine Elizabeth White of Baytown, TX, Gunnar Wayne White of Colorado Springs, CO and Machilee Carlson of Odessa, TX.
Also surviving Kenneth is his sister, Peggy Hutchens of LaPort, TX, brothers, Charles W. White of Henderson and Joe (Ann) White of Kilgore. Also left to cherish his memory are a host of nieces and nephews and many cousins and lifelong friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Isom (Jack) William White, his mother, Emily Eula (Bearden) White and his brother, Bill White.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11 am at Old Shiloh Cemetery, located on Hwy 315, seven miles NE of Mt. Enterprise, Texas.
