Kenneth Ray Wiggins
Cryptside services for Kenneth Ray Wiggins, 63, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Friday, December 19, 2003 in the Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Reverend Terrell Pierson officiating. For his many years of dedicated service, Mr. Wiggins will receive full military honors form the United States Navy and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Jefferson, Texas Post 10373. Entombment will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Born February 15, 1940 in Shreveport, Louisiana, Mr. Wiggins was raised in small towns around Louisiana and Texas until graduating from High School in Carthage in 1958.
He joined Navy in 1958 and was discharged into the Navy Reserve in 1962. He served in the Navy Reserve and loved every minute of it before retiring in 1984. He worked for Kelley Springfield in Tyler from 1962 to 1966 and then for Schlitz Brewery for 33 years until they closed and he retired.
Mr. Wiggins was preceded in death by his parents, Drayton and Opal Wiggins; infant brother, David Wiggins; and his first wife and mother of his three children, Bobbie Sandra Wiggins. He is survived by his loving wife, Llana Wiggins, of Longview, son, Michael Wiggins; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and John Hudson, and Kendra and Kevin Roach; seven grandchildren, Alayna, Samantha, and Dylan Hudson, Amber Wiggins, Jessica and Jacob Luker, and Dalton Smith.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday evening, December 18, 2003 at the funeral home.
