Kenneth Lee Parks' Obituary
Kenneth Lee Parks, 32, of Longview, Texas passed peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 15, 2014.
Kenneth was born in Longview on Tuesday, October 27, 1981 at Good Shepard at 10:51 am.
Kenneth started his first job at age 8 at his maternal grandparents business, Pet Palace. He attended Spring Hill High School. He was a graduate of Texas State Technical College where he received an associate’s degree of applied science in the bio medical field. Kenneth taught at TSTC as a professor in the bio medical field. Kenneth worked for Aramark as an ISE (Imaging Service Engineer) where he continued his education receiving certificates in his field of expertise.
Kenneth is survived by his wife and soulmate, Natashia Parks, son Slade Christopher Parks, adopted children Aureila Shelton and Brett Dean, all of Longview. Also, his parents Joe and Carlita Burke of Hallsville, Texas, Robert and JoAnne Parks of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, maternal grandmother, Minnie P. Marshall, brothers Jonathon Burke of Norman, Oklahoma and Joey Burke of Hallsville, Texas. His sister, Ashley Gray of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Nephews, Christian Lee Parks and Kai Thompson and Nieces, Briahna Rayn Gray and Evren Thompson. Kenneth also had many cousins, aunts and uncles he adored.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth D. Marshall, paternal grandparents WD and Juanell Parks. Uncles, Del Marshall and Terry Forbes. Great Uncles, Roy Jones and Doug Marshall, Cousin Marshall Anthony Castloo, as well as other relatives and friends.
Kenneth was known to all who knew him as a comedian and a great singer. His laughter and smile were contagious. You were truly blessed to call him family and friend, as so many did. Kenneth’s memory will live on forever in every heart he touched.
Services for Kenneth will be Saturday, January 25 at 2pm at Rader Funeral Home Chapel with a committal to follow at Rosewood Park. There will be a visitation the night before between 6 and 8pm here at Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
