Kenneth Irvin Hayner
Kenneth Irvin Hayner, 71, of Longview, TX, was taken to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday May 7th, 2013 with family members by his side.
Kenneth was born in Karnack, Texas on Sept 21, 1942, where he was raised. He graduated from Karnack High School in 1960. He married the love of his life Kay Bagley on June 10, 1960.They were a loving and devoted couple for 52 years. To this union, a daughter and a set of triplet girls were born. Kenneth and Kay raised their family in Longview and in the Baptist church. He and his wife were active in teaching their kids in Sunday school and about Christ.
After four years of apprentice school, he became a master electrician. Kenneth and Kay owned and operated Hayner Electric Service for 29 years. Kenneth was on the city Electric Board and taught classes for the Union for several years. Kenneth was an extremely hard working man, but most of all he enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He enjoyed entertaining them with fish fry's and BBQs. Kenneth loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing on many East Texas lakes with family and friends and hunting birds and deer all over Texas. He also enjoyed watching classic westerns, Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Kay, four children, Teresa Boyce, Janette Boorman and her husband Ronnie, Janean Patrick and her husband Tim, Janell Best and her husband James; Known by his 10 grandchildren as "PePaw", Jacklyn Boyce, Jake Boyce, Jordan Maness, Tripp Boorman, Hayner Boorman, Claudia Patrick, Grace Patrick, Natalie Best, Emily Best and Henry Best; his 4 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and the rest of his family and friends. A special thanks to his lifelong loving friends Beth and Joe Griffin.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Irvin Hayner and Maggie Elizabeth Deal; brother Buster Hayner and sister Sue King.
Visitation will be at 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday May 10th at Radar funeral home. Service with Rev. Mike Schutz will be held Saturday May 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM also taking place at Rader Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside will follow at Memory Park Cemetery in Longview.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Griffin, Jordan Maness, Kenneth Hugghins, Todd Munden, Tom Bogenschutz and Bill Perry.
