It's always hard when one of the "neighbor kids" leaves this world. My family lived right next door to the Hills. I loved all of them a lot, but Grady and Laverne scared me!! LOL
Mrs. Hill taught me "don't sit on that bed young lady".....oooh k....and I was just terrified to walk across their backyard to go to Annie Ruth's if Grady was out there working on his big truck....But Friends?? They were always the best of friends. The last time I saw Kenneth was at his moms funeral....just us kids (60 something) standing around reminiscing like the old days....Kenneth said.....did you know when I was just a little kid that I helped your daddy dig y'alls well?? Mercy he must have been 8 years old.... Even though the only times I saw many of you was at a funeral, we were still then and always will be, the "neighbor kids". God Bless all of you that loved him!
