Kenneth G. Armstrong's Obituary
Graveside services for Kenneth G. Armstrong, age 85 of Laneville, will be held Thursday February 11, 2010 at 2:00pm at Neeley Cemetery with Wayne Frost officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mr. Armstrong died Tuesday February 9, 2010 in a local nursing facility.
Kenneth Armstrong was born July 11, 1924 in Takoka, Texas to William A. & Tempest Armstrong. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Kenneth was a self employed farmer, and had been a resident of Rusk County for the past 2 years after moving here from the Lubbock area. He was a member of the American Legion, and Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Larkin N. Armstrong, and James Don Armstrong.
He is survived by his wife Nellie Joe Armstrong of Laneville whom he married on September 26, 1947 in Idalou. Also surviving is a son Michael G. Armstrong & wife Shannon of Laneville, daughter Patti Jo Armstrong of Fort Worth, granddaughter Larrissa Alldredge of Henderson, great grandchildren Dilen, and Baylee Alldredge, and Jaylee Jackson all of Henderson, sisters Thelma Peeples of Gastonia N.C., Joan Horbart of Idalou, and brother Billy Ross Armstrong of Lubbock.
