Kenneth K. Dunnam
Kenneth K. Dunnam, age 76, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, October 4, 2015, after a long battle with lung cancer.
Kenneth was born November 18, 1938 in Winters Texas. He is the fifth son of eight born to Grady and Pearl Dunnam.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Mr. Dunnam is survived by his beloved wife, Lucy, four children Kenneth, Jr of Austin Texas, Karia of Killeen Texas, Fay McKee and her husband James and Donald McClary all of Longview Texas. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Charlene Holliday and her husband James of Elysian Fields Texas and Nicholas McKee of Longview Texas. He leaves one great-granddaughter Kyla. He also leaves behind three brothers Jerry and Jimmy both of Graham Texas and RC of Tyler Texas.
Kenneth is preceded in death by both his parents and four brothers Grady, JB, Bobby Joe and Dennis.
He entered the United States Army at the age of 17 where he served 22 1/2 years including Special Forces as a Green Beret with two tours in Vietnam. He earned several commendations for his dedication and bravery to include the Bronze Star.
After retiring from the army he continued his education to achieve a bachelors in aviation and a minor in business.
His life's journey later lead him to the adventure of traveling the open road in an 18 wheeler.
Kenneth retired several years ago to pursue his passion of woodworking, model trains and spending time with his beloved family.
Anyone that knew him knew of his ability to light up a room with his laughter and smile. He will be deeply missed.
