Kenneth Cope's Obituary
Kenneth Newton Cope was born in Huntsville, Alabama on February 16, 1940, where he lived the first 58 years of his life. He then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma for 20 years before settling in Longview, Texas in 2022. Ken was a talented woodworker and created many art pieces for family and friends. He also was an avid and talented fisherman with many “fishing buddies” across all three states. He never met a stranger. He loved his family well and was a friend to all who knew him. Ken is survived by his sweetheart and wife of 63 years, Judy Cope; his children Chris Cope of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Amy and Jamie Canton of Longview, Texas and grandsons Jonathan Cope, Judah and Lucas Canton; sister Anita and Greg O’Reilly of Huntsville, Alabama; nephews Cody Sneed and Heath O’Reilly. A Celebration of Life Service will be held February 16th at 2pm at Longview First Assembly. He will be greatly missed and his legacy will live on through his family and the many lives he touched.
