Kelly Steven Hodges 55 was born September 6, 1957, in Kilgore, Texas to Bobby J. Hodges and Pattie L. Hodges. He was called home to be with his Savior August 16, 2013, surrounded by family and friends in Humble, Texas. Kelly was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Midland, Texas; majoring in Criminal Justice, he was a graduate of Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas. He served as a dedicated deputy for Harris County Precinct Three. Kelly did whatever it took to keep the communities he served safe. He put his family first, had a love for people, and he truly had a servant heart. He never failed to put the needs of others before himself and brought great joy to those who knew him. He had an impeccable sense of humor and was an amazing storyteller. Kelly is preceded in death by his mother, Pattie L. Hodges. He is survived by his loving wife Brenda Hodges, father Bobby J. Hodges; Brothers: Mark Hodges and Randy Hodges; Daughters: Jennifer Woodall, Michelle Schuettenhelm, and Danielle Stegkamper; Grandchildren: Andrew Schuettenhelm, Jaxon Woodall, and soon to be born Abel Stegkamper. Kelly also leaves behind so many others who loved and cherished him dearly. Visitation with the family will be at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, Texas, from 5-8pm Sunday, August 18, 2013. A memorial service to celebrate Kelly's life will take place at First Baptist Church of Huffman, in Huffman, Texas, at 10 am on Monday, August 19, 2013. Visitation will also take place at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, Texas, from 5-8pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Graveside services will take place the next day, Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 10am at Rosewood Park, Longview, Texas.
