Keith Stanley King's Obituary
Keith Stanley King, age 74, of Longview, Texas, passed away on January 26, 2026, in Longview. He was born in Kermit, Texas, in 1951.
Keith proudly served his country in the United States Army before dedicating his professional life to public service in law enforcement. He served for over 20 years with the Jefferson Police Department, Marshall Police Department, and ultimately as Chief Deputy with Harrison County. His career reflected a deep commitment to duty, integrity, and community.
An Eagle Scout in his youth, Keith carried those values throughout his life. He was known as an epic storyteller, a passionate history enthusiast, and an avid gardener who found joy in tending the soil and sharing what he learned with others.
Keith was married to his wife, Linda King, for 11 years. He is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter, Amy & Mike Nutt, and daughter, Ginny King; grandchildren Tyler and Chelsea Nutt, Mileah and Thomas Chappell, Jenna and Conner Vrana, Donovan McCloskey, and Victoria Bolgiano; and his sister, Leah & Pete O’Quinn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Marilyn Linam.
A memorial service open to the public will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at Charlotte’s Landing, 5760 FM 1845, Longview, TX 75604. A graveside service will be held at Poe Prairie Cemetery on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 11 am. The cemetery is located at 201 Poe Prairie Road, Millsap, Texas 75066.
Keith will be remembered for his service, his stories, and the steady presence he brought to the lives of those who knew him.
