Keith Hanson Chambliss' Obituary
Keith Hansen Chambliss, born January 22, 1927 in Locus Bayou, Arkansas to Thomas Nunley Chambliss and Nellie Bly Brown; passed away May 02, 2018 in Longview, Texas.
Keith graduated from Locus Bayou High School in 1944 then went on to serve his country as Tank Commander in the United States Army Armored Division during World War II, serving in Korea. Upon returning home from war, Keith met Marita Joan Dodd in Monahans, Texas where they were married on July 4, 1953. Keith attended Texas Tech University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1956.
Life Careers included: Oil Field Services, Vice President of Rack Service, and his retirement job of Thoroughbred Horse Trainer and breeder.
Keith is survived by his wife Joan; children: Terri Freeman of the Woodlands, Texas, Craig and Kelly Chambliss of Gilmer, Texas, Scott Chambliss of Temecula, California, and Lance and Lauri Chambliss of Longview, Texas, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is survived by sister, Betty Grammer of Alpine, Arizona and Tulahoma, Tennessee.
Funeral services with military honors will be today at Rader Funeral Home in Longview Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10am. With visitation starting one-hour prior at 9am.
Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Camden, Arkansas at 3pm.
