Kathy Weaver's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Kathy Lee Weaver announces her passing on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Kathy was born December 25, 1959 in Longview, Texas to Dale Wayne Weaver and Avis Lee Weaver. Kathy grew up in the Henderson area and graduated from Henderson High School. She retired in 2022 from A-1 Driving Academy in Longview, where she gave her love and advice to many boys and girls for 15 years.
She was a lover of the great outdoors and all furry creatures. She and her mother enjoyed camping at the lake for many years with their friends. They loved to travel and especially enjoyed going to Bluegrass Music Festivals when she was young. Kathy and her mother were a team. The closeness and love they shared was a special bond. She will be remembered by her friends and family as a fun-loving person who's laughter would light up a room.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Dale Wayne Weaver. Her step-father Bill Powers and her brother, Keith Weaver.
She is survived by her mother, Avis Powers, her loving companion Antonio Hernandez and his son, Antonio Jr. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank all the healthcare workers who took such wonderful care of Kathy this past year, especially her nurses with Life Care Hospice.
Graveside services for Kathy will be held at Crims Chapel Cemetery at 10 am on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. A visitation will be held the night before between 6 and 8 pm at Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
