Kathryn Jessie Johnson's Obituary
Jessie Kathryn Hollar Weaver Johnson passed away peacefully on September 25. 2010, in Longview Texas. Her service will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church in Longview, Texas by Reverend Michael L. Schutz at Nicholson Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2010.
She was born December 5, 1910, in Newark, Ohio. Kathryn was the daughter of O.D. and Myrtle Hollar. She is survived by her brother, Carl Hollar and his wife Betty of Newark, Ohio; her daughter, Betty Whitaker of Longview, Texas; son, David Weaver and his wife Pam of Castleberry, Florida; many loving grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a loving group of extend family and friends.
Kate was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J. B. Weaver; three brothers, Kenneth, Charles, and Robert Hollar, and her son-in-law, Don Whitaker. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Longview. Visitation will follow after memorial service at the chapel. Kate leaves us with a quick wit, sense of humor, and living life to her fullest. She touched many people in her 99 years and will be missed by all who knew her.
