Graveside services for Kathryn A. Smith Hill, 94 of Hillsboro will be held at Two O'clock pm on Thursday October 9, 2008 at Ridgepark Cemetery in Hillsboro, Texas with . Burial will follow in Ridgepark cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Hill passed away Monday October 6, 2008 in Longview.
She was born July 17, 1914 in Mayfield, Texas to Brad and Susan Smith. She was a graduate of Providence Hospital Nursing School in May of 1937, where she obtained her Registered Nursing License. After she graduated she was the OR Nurses Supervisor at Hillsboro Clinic Hospital . She then retired for 20 years and came out of retirement to become Supervisor of Nurses at three Nursing Homes in Hillsboro, Itasca and Whitney. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro, Texas.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Kaye Hill of Longview; two granddaughters, Stephanie Kaye Crabtree and husband Billy of Granbury, TX.; Patricia Renee Dooley and partner Jonathan of Sachse, TX.;
three great-granddaughters, Kathryn Zolman, Whitney Taylor Zolman, Tamara Ann Zolman, two great-grandsons, Maverick Justus Gill and Julius Crabtree.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Henry Hill, one brother and four sisters.
