Kathleen G. Rollins' Obituary
Graveside services for Mrs. Kathleen Gray. Rollins, age 83 of Henderson, will be held at 10:30am Thursday June 26, 2008 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ken Hayman
officiating, burial will follow under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mrs. Rollins died Sunday June 22, 2008 in a Tyler Hospital.
Kathleen was born March 24, 1925 in Henderson, she graduated from Gaston High School, received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Stephen F. Austin University, and her Master's Degree from Texas A&M Commerce. She taught 38 years in the Texas public school system, retiring after many years a Birdwell Elementary in Tyler. She was a member of the London Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kathleen & Arthur Gray, brothers Harrell, Tuny, and John Gray.
She is survived by her husband J.T. Rollins of Henderson whom she had been friends with since elementary school. They were married in the spring of 1994 near New London. She is also survived by a sister Mary Anna Guinn of Austin, Step children Jim & Linda Rollins of Denton, John & Rebecca Rollins of Southlake, Ellen & Glen Russell of Sulphur Springs, Joel & Denise Rollins of Indonesia. She is also survived by nieces Marianne Gray Gibbs of Henderson, and Patricia Layne of Austin & their families.
