Kathleen Gunter Baker's Obituary
Kathleen Gunter Baker was born on December 13, 1952, in Paris, TX to Kent and Lillian Gunter. She walked into the open arms of Jesus on March 18, 2025, in Longview, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband William Baker. Kathleen moved to Longview in 1957 and resided there for the remainder of her life. She loved her family and friends fiercely with a loyalty that never wavered, whether she was celebrating their triumphs or comforting them through their tears, she always had time for them. Kathleen was a confidant for life for some; offering a gentle ear and a big heart mixed with humor and wisdom that made every burden seem lighter. She had an infectious laugh that could bring a smile to your face no matter what you were going through. Kathleen retired from Acosta Group after many years of service where she excelled with their sales/marketing team. Left to cherish her memory are sister Kenna Baker and husband Bobby, sons Justin and Matthew Baker, stepdaughter Christy Andrews and husband Andy. Grandchildren Ross Baker, Logan Hickerson (Taylor), Jill Trice (Derrick), Kaitlin Myrick (Blake). Great Grandchildren Brynlie, Bailey, Morgan, Landon, Leah, Brody, and Everette. Her best friend for life LaNell Barnard, and a host of nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at Summerfield Methodist Church in Longview, TX on March 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM.
