My dear friend Christy Campbell was a good friend of Katie's and always talked about how full of life and laughter she was.
I know she will truly be missed by all.##imported-begin##Beverly Zatlo##imported-end##

Katie, Christine, and Brendan were all born within weeks of each other and although we lived far apart we thought of them as sharing a special time in the lives of their parents and grandparents. As cousins in South Bend we were close and share your grief at her early death. We can only live each day in the present and hope to share the love she shared with us. My heartfelt condolences are for everyone, Don and especially for Mary. There are no words that can express such a heartfelt loss. I hope she can eventually heal and with the help of her husband, Carl, continue with her new life and marriage.##imported-begin##Janet Varga Berry##imported-end##
Although I did not know Katie, I worked with her sister, Alyson. I know that Alyson was close to Katie, and I am saddened by this news. My heart and prayers go out to your family. There are times when things happen in our lives, and it helps me to remember that the Lord works in mysterious ways. Katie touched the lives of many, including those like myself who didn't know her in life. May fond memories live in the hearts of those who knew her well.
With Prayers,
Stephanie ##imported-begin##Stephanie Gunkel##imported-end##

Bill, although we only met Katie for a brief time, it was such a pleasure to know her. Last summer we brought our dog Sophie over to breed with Hook, and Katie was so hospitable. My memory will always be of her with her dogs. Thanks for sharing this beautiful lady with us. Sincerely, Richard and Cathy James##imported-begin##Richard and Cathy James##imported-end##
Dear Family,
We're so sorry for your tragic loss. We wish we could have attended the services, but our thoughts and prayers were with you all.
Even though I was only five years old I can still remember Katie taking me and Johnny out to the woods to show us the Winnie the Pooh hideout. She was so much fun to be with. She turned into a beautiful young woman and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Know that we're thinking of you here in Houston.
All our love##imported-begin##Jan and Nicole Odusch##imported-end##
Kate Kate was my friend. Katie loved the blues and didn't care if you liked the blues or not, you were going to listen if you were with her. Many a time we would ride along listening to Etta James, over and over.
She went to Sun Records last year with Elise and brought back shirts, hats, stickers, and anything else she could find. But, her prize from the trip was a lifesize picture of Muddy "Mississippi" Waters' face she got one for PJ too. I remember picking up the picture for Kate on a day that I was in town, it was framed and ready. Man was she proud of that picture. I can still see her face.
Katie always looked out for the underdog. She was kind to everyone and truly brought light to a dull day. I was always happy to see her coming. How many people can you say that about?
Well, lastly I want everyone to know that Katie lives forever in my heart and if you need to talk please give me a call. I can't talk as fast as Kate but I can give it hell trying. 903-738-3283.
