A proud graduate of M.B. Smiley High School in Houston, Kathie was a member of the Class of 1972. Her strong work ethic and commitment to public service led her to a fulfilling career as the Rusk County Elections Administrator, a position from which she retired in 2018 after years of dedicated service.
Kathie shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with he beloved husband, Rickey (R.D.) Wittner. Together they built a loving home and raised two daughters; Katrina Lewis and her husband Marshall, and Krista LeBow and her husband Casey. Kathie found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Cari Wagstaff and her husband Lance, Blake Lewis, and Turner LeBow. Her heart swelled with pride at the arrival of her great-grandson Wyatt Wagstaff.
Family was the cornerstone of Kathie's life. She never missed an opportunity to cheer her grandchildren on at any event they were participating in.
