Katherine Nicole Mitchell Hoyle's Obituary
Katherine Nicole Mitchell Hoyle completed her fight with cancer on Friday, November 24, 2017, at the age of 46. She passed away peacefully in her home, comforted by her loving family.
Nicole was a licensed specialist in school psychology for Pine Tree Independent School District for several years, retiring in 2016. She also was active in her church, Alpine Church of Christ, where she was a member of the Praise Team and a mentor to many.
Nicole's passion was her family and friends. She loved building strong relationships, and she forged many over the years. She leaves behind her husband of 28 years, Brian, their two daughters, Megan Hoyle of Longview, and Katee Cormier and husband Nick Cormier of Temple, her precious granddaughter, Emmie Cormier, her mother Kathy Mitchell of Mansfield, her sister, Sara Vation and husband André of Arlington, her grandmother, Virginia Gunter of Mansfield, and numerous other friends and family.
Nicole wanted to especially thank the many new friends in the medical field that she made as a result of her battle with cancer, with special thanks to Dr. Matei Socoteanu and the other doctors, physician assistants, nurses, and staff of Texas Oncology.
Visitation is Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Funeral is Tuesday at 10:00 am at Alpine Church of Christ, with a private family burial to follow at Skyvue Memorial Gardens in Mansfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alpine Church of Christ.
