Katherine Jean Lariscy Damuth's Obituary
Katherine Jean Lariscy Damuth, 84 of Longview, TX, passed away
peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior, on October 1,
2018. She bravely battled Alzheimer's for eight years. Jean was born
February 15, 1934 in Savannah, GA. She is preceded in death by her
parents, Lamar Kenneth Lariscy and Tommie Lou O'Quinn, as well as
her only sibling, Josie Mae Lariscy Walea of Savannah, GA. She was
previously married to Bobby Donald Damuth of Longview, who passed
in 2004. She is survived by their five children, Donna Damuth Gulledge
of Dallas, TX, Steve Damuth and wife Debi of Waco, TX, Gary Damuth
and wife Diane of Brady, TX, Lori Damuth Valenti and husband Phillip
of Longview, Kathy Damuth Matlock and husband Russell of Wills
Point, TX. and her 8 grandchildren Denver Priess, Christina Mitchella,
Nicolas Valenti, McKenzie Brown, Jake Preston Damuth, Evin Damuth-
Weir, Kaitlin Matlock, Garrett Matlock. Her great grand-children,
Adrianna Katherine Valenti, Reagan Elizabeth Valenti and Josie Lynn
Weir.
Jean, as her friends knew her, loved being with her family. We knew
her as Momma, because her greatest passion in life, before anything,
was being our Mom. She truly dedicated her life to raising her
children. Later in life she studied photography and loved
photographing nature and wildlife. Traveling and interior design were
passions of hers as well. Being with her horses she owned in the late
70's, always brought joy to her heart.
Funeral services will be at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview, on Friday, October
5, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Thomas McDaniels officiating followed by interment in Wills
Point, TX. Visitation will be Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Rader Funeral
Home in Longview.
