My father Phillip McCarty worked with Bernie at SWEPCO for many years. I knew him through Daddy and the summers I worked in the Longview office.. I began attending Greggton United Methodist Church in the '90's and was fortunate to get to know him better. He was a truly nice Christian man and always had a smile. I always enjoyed talking with him. My prayers are with Martha, Cheryl, Vicki and all his family. May your memories give you peace in the coming days. Patty McCarty Bernhardt
