Karen Lee Jeter
Celebration of life service for Karen Lee Jeter, 61, of Hallsville, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday,
March 26, 2015, at Rader Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held in Hallsville
Cemetery in Hallsville immediately following. The family will receive friends from 6-8 at the
funeral home on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. She was called home suddenly to be with Jesus
on Sunday March 22, 2015.
Karen was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, March 13, 1954, to Wallace and Delores Kautz. She
graduated from Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi in 1972. She married the love of
her life Jack Leon Jeter on November 9, 1974 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Then she moved to the
Longview area and settled in Hallsville in 1981. She and her husband celebrated 40 years of
marriage together in November. She was a devoted, loving mother who always saw the good
in everyone and gave unconditional love to her family and friends. She loved her grandkids and
counted them as her greatest blessings. She was preceded in death by her father Wallace L.
Kautz.
Karen is survived by her devoted husband, Jack L. Jeter of Hallsville; daughter and son-in-law
Jennifer Nelson and Jay Nelson of Longview, son and daughter-in-law Jack L. Jeter II and
Chandra Jeter of Longview; grandchildren, Jayla Nelson, James Nelson, Justice Nelson, Jaryn
Nelson, Jack L. Jeter III (Trey), Chesney Jeter, Camden Sanford; her mother Delores L. Kautz
of Portland, Texas, sister and brother-in-law F.J. and Kathy Weirch of Portland, Texas, brother
and sister-in-law Dwayne and Ronda Kautz, sister and brother-in-law Wendy and Richard Ellis
of Frisco, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
