Justin Shane Schattel's Obituary
Justin Shane Schattel, 25, of Hallsville, Texas passed away from injuries received in an auto accident on Friday December 28, 2012.
Justin was born on March 7, 1987 in Longview, Texas to Von and Kay Schattel. Justin graduated in 2005 from Hallsville High School and received an Associates degree from TSTC Marshall.
Justin worked as an operations technician for three years with BP. Justin loved his work and was a hard worker. He had a fascination with firearms, tractors, cars and enjoyed the outdoors. Most of all Justin's family meant so much to him, they all where close knit family and he loved them greatly. He was a devoted man and loved his God and Savior. He was known for his awesome sense of humor.
Justin will be greatly missed by those left to cherish his memory who are his parents Von and Kay Schattel; brother, Josh Schattel and his wife Hollie Schattel; girlfriend, Brittany Stevenson; grandfather, Butch Schattel; grandmother, Fran Head; great grandmother, Jessie "Bom Bom" Schattel; aunts, Judy Dunnavant and her husband Steven Dunnavant, Lisa Ross and her husband Ronny Ross, Alison Hill and her husband Mike Hill; uncle, David Wood and his aunt Shon Schattel Wood; and many cousins, great aunts, great uncles, and friends.
Justin was preceded by his grandparents Mary Jo Schattel, and Roy and Alice Wood. The family would ask that memorials be made to Grace Bible Church "In Memory of Justin Schattel" 700 Anderson Street College Station, Texas 77840 or to the charity of your choice.
Services for Justin Shane Schattel will be on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Macedonia Baptist Church at 10AM with interment following at Hallsville Cemetery. Brother Brent Lowry and Dr. Keith Kelly will be officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 6PM to 8PM at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview
