June Turner's Obituary
Services for June Turner, also known as June Bug or Mama June, 74, will be held at Mulberry Springs Baptist Church in Hallsville, Texas at 2pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 and will be officiated by Dr. Danny Warbington and Brother Marion Coon.
June was born on March 4, 1942 in Fouke, AR to parents Claude and Bertha Barnett. She married Willie, the love of her life in Jefferson, Texas on July 3, 1959 of 57 years and was soon blessed with children. June and Willie moved to Gum Springs community in 1969 to their home they built. June was a kind and loving mother, not just to her children, but to all the children in her neighborhood. She was also an amazing wife and always took care of her husband. June was a loving Christian, who loved God and accepted Jesus as her savior. She was a member at Little Flock Baptist Church for 25 years and presently a member of Mulberry Springs Baptist Church for 2yrs.
June was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Bertha Barnett and siblings Charles, Causby and Larry Barnette. Those left to cherish their memories of her include her brother Jerry Barnett and wife Debbie of Blanchard, LA and sister in law, Joy Barnette of Blanchard, LA, husband, Willie Turner; her children; Darren Turner and wife Debra, Curt Turner and wife Pam, and Angela Hawkins and husband Cub; her grandchildren; Ashlee Sterling, Courtnee Bruner, Autumn Gonzales, Dalton Hawkins and Blane Hawkins; great grandchildren, Mason Sterling, Jaxon Sterling, Grayson Bruner and upcoming birth of Adeline Bruner. She will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Burial will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery. The family would like to invite friends to Rader Funeral Home on Monday from 6-8pm for visitation. June went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in Longview. In Lieu of flowers, family would like donations made to Mulberry Springs Baptist Church Building Fund.
