June Rivers' Obituary
June Fitch Rivers, 92, a loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on August 20, 2023. She was proceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, William Henry (Bill) Rivers. June was born July 2, 1931 in Troup, TX to the late Jack Fitch and Ivy Lucille Skates.
June was known for her sweet, kind, and loving personality that touched the hearts of the ones who knew her. June treasured life's simple joys with her favorite pastimes of playing endless hours of board games with her grandchildren, baking sweets for her family and co-workers. June was quite a seamstress, she spend many hours sewing. Numerous weekends were spent camping and fishing at various lakes with her husband. June worked and retired from Stemco Manufacturing Company after many years of service.
June was preceded in death by three brothers; Jack Fitch, Wayne Fitch, and Jerry Fitch. As well as her daughter Linda Driver Stephens, and her granddaughter, Misty Ann Stroud.
June leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Vickie Jan Barber, Teri Rivers Epting and Husband John (Bob), and her son Kenneth Lee Rivers. Others left with loving memories are her granddaughters; Amy Langston, Lauren Barber, Christina Barber and Kendra Rivers. Grandsons; Nicholas Bellamy, Lance Bellamy, Ryan Barber and Dustin Rivers. Great granddaughters; Kaylee Hemmen, Taylor Coplin, Jaylyn Barber and Adalyn Barber. Great grandsons; Kamryn Langston, Zack Langston, Brian Barber and Cameron Barber. She even leaves behind many great-great grandchildren; Kennedi Hemmen, Aubree Hemmen and Caydon Hemmen, as well as many neices and nephews.
A graveside service for June will be held Friday, September 8 at 10am at Hallsville Cemetery. A visitation will be held the night before at Rader Funeral Home of Longview between 6 and 8pm.
