Julius Riley Armstrong's Obituary
Funeral services for J.R Armstrong, age 84 of Henderson, will be held Monday October 29, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Ketchum officiating, Burial will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens with military honors.
J.R. was born March 22, 1934 in Harrisburg, TN to Robert Goodlow, and Zanna Evelyn Armstrong and died Friday October 26, at his residence. Mr. Armstrong was a veteran having served in the US Army. He was a welder and a retired electrician from Union 324. J.R. was also a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Anthony, and Nita Fay Armstrong, brothers Cletus, and Elroy Armstrong.
He is survived by his wife Agnes Louise Armstrong of Henderson, daughter Janey Mills and husband Larry, Nancy Irish and husband Bobby, son James Armstrong and wife Sara. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Marvin French, Larry Cates, Dennis Jones, Vicente French, Keith Cook and Terry Allen.
