Graveside services for Julia W. Hedgpeth, 88, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Friday, April18, 2003 at Memory Park Cemetery with the Reverend Thomas Jones officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away Tuesday, April 15, in a Longview nursing facility.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hedgpeth was born in Joplin, Missouri to William H. and Anna G. Whaley on May 22, 1914. She was a graduate of Pascah High School in Ft. Worth and attended Brantley-Droughon Business School. She was retired after 26 years from the Gregg County Court House as a secretary for the Data Processing Department. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Mrs. Hedgpeth was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, D. C. Hedgpeth. Survivors include her 4 daughters, Jimmie Lou Adams, Paula June Foote, Charlene Jones, and Candice Jill Schriefer; son Wilburn H. Adkisson all of Longview; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson; and close friend Gordon Ward.
