Julia Ann McClelland's Obituary
Julia Ann McClelland, 57, of Longview Texas, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 23, 2015.
Julia grew up in Western Pennsylvania and graduated from Western Beaver Jr. Sr. High School in 1975. In November of 1978, Julia relocated to East Texas with her family. Julia enjoyed a solitary lifestyle; she loved her two cats dearly. Julia was well read and enjoyed trivia games and game shows, and she looked forward to family game night. She loved art and art work of many styles and from many periods. She enjoyed Celtic music and classic rock-and-roll. Julia loved the Steelers and looked forward to game day, recapping highlights of the game with close friends and family.
Julia is preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Margaret Scrivener McClelland, her step mother Elnora 'Nora' McKean McClelland, and her brother David Nelson McClelland III.
Julia is survived by her father, David Nelson McClelland II of Edwardsburg, MI; sisters Rebecca Sue McClelland of Gilmer, TX, Margaret Eleanor McClelland Adkins of Longview, TX, and Linda Kaye McClelland of Nashville, TN; three nieces, six nephews, and many grandnieces and -nephews.
In keeping with Julia’s wishes, she has been cremated and her family will be holding a private interment at the family plot in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The family has asked that since there are no local services, donations be made in Julia’s memory to the National Humane Society or to the ASPCA.
