Services for Judith Allen "Judy" McCarrell, 75, of Longview are pending at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Mrs. McCarrell passed away on Friday, February 01, 2013.
Mrs. McCarrell was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on November 30, 1937. She moved to Kilgore in 1944, graduated New London High School in 1955 and attended North Texas State University. She married Bill McCarroll on December 6, 1958 in Kilgore. She was a member of Greggton United Methodist Church, the newcomers Club, volunteered at Longview Regional Hospital, loved to play dominos and cannasta.
She is preceded in death by her husband William McCaroll; daughter Kelly McCarrell Taylor; grandson Conner Taylor; son-in-law Wayne Shiflet; parents Pat and Lloyd "T.L." Shackelford.
Mrs. McCarrell is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Lee Ann and Glen Kittleson of Longview, Stacey Shiftlet of Seabrook; son Allen McCarrell of Hallsville; granddaughter Ashley Taylor of College Station; grandson Cason McCarrell of Hallsville; sister and brother-in-law Jan and Lawrence Guess of Houston; nephews Chris Guess of San Antonio and Mark Guess of Brownsville.
