Juanita Lawrence Stanford
Juanita Lawrence Stanford of Longview passed from this life in the early morning of November 11, 2014.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 14, at Memory Park Cemetery with Dr. Rick Webb of Buckner Westminster Place officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Juanita, born October 17, 1929, in Rusk County, was a descendant of the John King Edwards family, who came to southern Upshur County from Lebanon, Tennessee in 1851.  She attended Longview Schools and went on to Kilgore College and Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, graduating with a degree in Business Accounting in May, 1950.
After graduating, she returned to Longview, embarking on a 40 year career in oil and gas accounting, first with Premier Oil and Refining, and then 28 years with R. Lacy Oil.
She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, James E. “Stretch” Stanford, who passed away in 1988.  Her son, Robert L. Bailey and his wife, Marilyn, of Longview, survive her.  She is also survived by her brother, Donald Edwards Lawrence and his wife Joyce of Corpus Christi, Texas.  She is survived by nephews, Donnie Lawrence and James Lawrence and niece, Nancy Kennerly, and cousins, Tommy and Stephen Edwards, Kathryn Draper and JoAnn Parham.
