Juanita Effie Nutt Clark's Obituary
Effie Juanita Clark, of Longview, Texas was born November 17, 1924 to Andrew Barkley and Laurie Todd Nutt in Gary, Texas. She graduated from Gary High School in 1941 and moved to Houston, Texas where she worked as a hairdresser. While living in Houston she met a young sailor named Clyde Clark who she later married on December 19, 1946. They would spend the next 62 years together. She served the Lord faithfully as a pastor's wife, Sunday School teacher, and church pianist. She was a member of Pleasant Hill M.B.C. in Overton, Texas when she past from the walk of this life on January 25, 2016 at the age of 91years, 2 months, and 8 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde Clark, and her brother Wallace Nutt, and sister Laverne Cantu.
She is survived by:
Two daughters: Jean Farrington of Thornton, Colorado, and Peggy Curry of Grand Junction Colorado.
Three Sons: Steve Clark and wife, Teresa, of Henderson, Texas; Paul Clark and wife, Janie, of Hillsboro, Texas; and Ralph Clark and wife, Denise, of Longview Texas.
One brother, Andrew Nutt and wife, June, of Carthage, Texas , three sisters, Marie Hill of Longview, Texas; Maxine Davis and husband, Alvin, of Longview, Texas; and Patricia Bradshaw and husband, Richard, of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Twelve grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, along with a number of nieces and nephews.
A family directed memorial service will be held 2:00p.m. Tuesday February 2, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
