J. R. Pinson's Obituary
Funeral services for J. R. ?Jimmy? Pinson, 91, of Longview, will be 10 AM Monday in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 PM Sunday.
Mr. Pinson died Thursday evening in a local nursing home.
A native of Wood County, Texas, he was born May 19, 1911. Mr. Pinson had lived in Longview since 1932 and retired, after over 40 years, as a field gauger for Sun Oil. He was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church, Longview Masonic Lodge #404 for over 50 years and Sharon Shrine Temple in Tyler.
Survivors include his wife: Marie of Longview; Son and Daughter in Law: Don and Martha Pinson of Heath, Texas; Grandchildren: Karen Babb of Rowlett and Amy Brooks of Garland; Great Grandchildren: Cory Shone of Rockwall and Josh DeMas of Garland; Sister and Brother in Law: Laura and Jimmy Jerden of Longview; Brother in law and Sister in law: Kenneth and Nalda Murphy of Longview; Number of Nieces and Nephews.
