Joyce Marie Tidwell's Obituary
Joyce Marie Tidwell, 78, passed peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2024 in Carthage, Texas.
Joyce was born in Garrison, Texas, on January 2, 1946, the daughter of Walter and Eva (Conway) Curry; she later married Kenneth Mack Tidwell in January of 1970 and they made their home in Henderson, Texas where she was a wife and a homemaker. She loved gardening and had an unbelievably green thumb. She loved spending time with her family and watching her grandkids grow up.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Mack Tidwell; children, Jan Gibbs and husband Larry; Eva Allen; Tim Tidwell and wife, Traci; and Tad Tidwell and wife Kristie; as well as grandchildren, Tara Swain, Bethany Copeland, Taylor Tidwell, Kaleb Copeland, Corey Tidwell, Trace Tidwell and Trevor Tidwell along with their spouses and 10 great grand children.
She is preceded in death by parents Walter and Eva Curry as well as sisters, Doris Barrett, Elsie Adams, Ruby Henderson and Georgia Beard; brothers, Travis Curry and Harvey Curry.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Panola County Nursing Center and Heartsway Hospice for the wonderful and loving care they provided her.
No service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
