Joyce Shirley's Obituary
Graveside services for Joyce Shirley will be held on Friday, May 9 at 10 am at Misner Cemetery in Wynne AR. Visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home in Longview TX from 5:30 to 7:30. Mrs. Shirley went to the arms of the lord on Saturday, May 3, 2014 surrounded by family and friends.
Joyce Shirley was born in Cherry Valley AR to Oma and John Craig. She graduated from Cherry Valley High School. Joyce married the love of her life, James Homer Shirley and had 3 lovely children. Since moving to Longview, she has become highly involved with the Oakland Heights Baptist Church Sunday School Class, and has thoroughly enjoyed all of the friends that she has made from Oakland Heights, she also had a passion for gardening.
Joyce is preceded in death by both of her loving parents, Oma and John Craig; her loving husband of 48 years, James Homer Shirley; and her grandson Bill Mohler.
Those left behind to cherish Joyce’s memory are her daughters, Beverley Mohler and husband Mark, Debby Hickey and her husband Chris; son, James “Kenny” Shirley; grandsons Mark, James, and Anthony Mohler, Craig and Jason Hickey; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
