Joyce Cornish Gray
Services for Jean Joyce Cornish Gray, 79, of Hallsville will be at 2pm Wednesday May 6, 2015, at the Cowboy Church of Harris Harrison County; burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. Arrangements will be conducted with Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Visitation will be on Tuesday May 5, 2015 from 6-8pm at the Funeral Home.
Joyce was born on January 23, 1936 to A.W. “Jack” and Mildred Cornish. She was a Nurse in Longview for many years. Following her tenure as a nurse, Joyce became co-owner/secretary for Hallsville Dragstrip, and co-owner/secretary for H&C Sheet Metal and Roofing for over 20 years. She loved reading, gardening, and traveling with her family and friends.
Joyce leaves her husband, RA Gray, son Robert Gray and wife Lisa, and daughter Gail Parr and husband Joey. She also is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, A.W. “Jack” Cornish and Mildred Cornish Brunson, and sister Lucille Ferguson Blassingame.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Cowboy Church of Harrison County in memory of Joyce Cornish Gray.
