Joyce A. Arbter's Obituary
Funeral services are scheduled for Joyce (Stoffel) Arbter, 89, of Longview, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview with Fthr. Mark Dunne officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. A rosary will be held at Rader Funeral Home on Sunday, July 23 beginning at 5:30 p.m. with visitation to follow from 6-8pm. Joyce passed away on Thursday, July 20 following a lengthy illness.
Joyce was born on April 27, 1928 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to Arnold and Mamie Stoffel. She graduated from Sevastopol High School in Door County, Wisconsin. Joyce was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition, she was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and an avid gardener. She was known for her infectious laugh. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ulysses “Lefty” Arbter. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Jerry Baker of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, John and Lyn Arbter of Mineola, Texas; and son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Rondi Arbter of Longview; granddaughters, Katie Baker, Lizzie Baker, and Ava Arbter; sister Mary Onsager and sister and brother-in-law Sue and John Hill, all of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Joyce is also survived by sister-in-law Charlene Durovka and husband Mike of Pueblo West, Colorado; and by sisters-in-law; Beverly Stoffel of Cedarburg Wisconsin, Elaine Stoffel of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, and Agnes Fink of Eastlake Ohio.
The family would like to thank the wonderful health care providers at Heart’s Way Hospice and Clairmont Nursing Home.
