Brice Davis and I were recently at LMFA where we randomly picked up a program and read of Joyce’s memorial. Needless to say, we were saddened to see this. We both loved Joyce and Bob! They brought us to Longview! Such fond memories of Joyce and her love and support of the arts, and us! She was definitely one of a kind. We loved her so much!
So sorry for your loss. Joyce and I sang in the choir at Wesley McCabe UMC. She was a dedicated member. She will be greatly missed. Keeping family and all who loved her lifted in prayer.

Joyce was a very special person - she exuded such warmth and graciousness. I first got to know her when I was a summer intern for Bob, and later we were neighbors. Architects' wives experience a unique bond that isn't defined by words. And while sadly I didn't see Joyce often, I always considered her a mentor and champion. It was a pleasure and privilege to have known Joyce. I was a member of the 1951 LHS class with Bob. Joyce was considered a classmate by all of us. She was so warm and welcoming that all of us felt close to her. May you find peace and comfort in the wonderful memories I know you have.

What a sweet, sweet Mom Mrs Allen was. I fondly remember the many days & nights I spent with Amy & her family at her home both in town and at the lake.
