Joy Fay Shanks' Obituary
Joy F. Shanks, age 83, passed October 15, 2014 in Crestview, Fl. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Shanks. Joy is survived by her daughter Angela J. Yount, son-in-law Bob, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was a long time resident of Ft. Walton Bch., Fl., where she worked in the public school system. In 1983 Joy returned to her home state of Texas, where she was a librarian at the Longview Public Library and retired in 2003. Joy was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church.
Joy will be buried next to her husband Harold, in Texarkana, Texas at Chapelwood Cemetery on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 10 AM. Arrangements are entrusted to Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.
