Joy Dell McCaw's Obituary
Joy Dell McCaw, age 76, of Longview passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side November 13, 2012.
She was born in Levelland, TX December 17, 1935 to Raymon and Myrtle Meares. It was in Whiteface that she attended local schools growing up.
On September 23, 1951 she married Leroy McCaw and for the next 61 years they loved and raised a family together. They have been a member of the Longview area for the past 56 years. Joy was a faithful member of Mobberly Baptist Church and very active in her Sunday school class. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and sister. Joy was active with family activities involving both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joy is survived by her husband of 61 years Leroy McCaw, son Rick McCaw and his wife Mindy, daughter Sherial Vickery and her husband David, son Jeff McCaw and his wife Sheri, ten grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Coy and Royce Meares.
She is preceded in passing by her parents Raymon and Myrtle Meares, step-mother Edith Jansen Meares and brother Roland Meares.
There will be a time of visitation at Rader Funeral Home, Longview Friday, November 16, 2012 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 17, 2012, 2 pm. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Memory Park Cemetery, Longview following services. Suggested family donations in memory of Joy may be made to Mobberly Baptist Church Missions Fund. Arrangements are under the care of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
