Josie Gwen Williams' Obituary
Josie "Gwen" Williams was born on November 12, 1955 in Henderson Texas and graduated from West Rusk in 1975.
Josie is survived by her husband Fredie Joe Williams Sr, her 3 sons and their wives: Fredie Jr and Victoria Williams, Edgar and Jessy Williams, Weldon and Kenda Williams. Her grandchildren; Evelyn, Faith, Patrick, Joey, Isaac, Jonathan, Hailey, Jacob, Rebecca and Joseph. As well as her great Grandchildren; Romulis, Adelyn and Karter. Her sister Leona, Penney and brother Gene.
She was proceeded in death by her older brother Dean and Father and mother Jessy and Josie Cunningham.
Gwen was married to Fredie Joe Williams Sr on May 24th 1974 and made a life on their little patch of land raising their 3 sons in Henderson Tx. Gwen loved taking care of her family and would consider that one of her biggest blessing in her life. She loved getting her family together and always had a camera in hand ready to capture every moment to go with the stories she loved to tell. Gwen loved God and served as a ministers wife and Sunday school teacher. She had a nack for making things fun and creative while teaching kids about Gods love for them. Outside her family and ministry her 2nd passion was writing. Gwen would write poems and small story books with her grandchildren and that grew with the encouragement of husband into her writing and publishing multiple books.
Funeral services for Josie will be held on Friday, September 29 at 10am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson, with the burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held the night before at the funeral home between 6 and 8pm.
