Joshua Lance Bernethy's Obituary
Joshua Lance Bernethy, 30, of White Oak, left this earth to join his Heavenly Father on February 16, 2019.
He was born on August 10, 1988 in Longview to Patty Brown and John Bernethy. He graduated from White Oak High School in 2006 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 2008. He served with the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines and was deployed to two tours in Afghanistan. He was honorably discharged in 2012 as a sergeant. Josh would tell you he was no saint but that he loved God and wanted to serve Him completely. He attended LifeBridge Christian Center with his wife and three children and served on the church’s security team. Not only did he love God, but he also enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Bernethy, and their three children, Brayden, Eli, and Kynzie; his parents, John and Patty Bernethy; his brother, Randall Bernethy; his aunt, Susan Brown Thorne; his dog, Gunner; and a countless number of friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Maudie and Lester H. Brown.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 pm at Rader Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. His memorial service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10 am at LifeBridge Christian Center.
