Funeral services for Joseph ?Buddy? Hinch, 81, of Longview, will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at Rader Funeral Home with James Hagland, Greggton Church of Christ and Billy Blakely of Arkansas officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening, February 13, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Rader Funeral Home.
Buddy was born on August 26, 1924 in Jonah, Texas to Sarah Ethel and Joseph Warren Hinch, Sr. He passed away on Saturday morning, February 11, 2006. At 16 years old, Buddy worked for the rail road out of San Antonio and served in the Army two years near the end of and after World War 2 in an intelligence division. Buddy retired from Gregg County Oil Company in 1992, then managed the Flamingo Trailer Park until present. Buddy was affiliated with the Greggton Church of Christ.
Buddy was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Hinch of Jacksonville and a brother, James Hinch of Kyle. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hinch of Longview, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Pam Hinch of White Oak, Bill and Judy Hinch of Jacksonville, 2 step sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Kristi Kinney of Carthage and Rex and Annette Kinney of DeKalb, 2 step daughters and son-in-law, Becky and Jim Wesberry of Garland and Vicki Smith of Longview, 1 ?adopted? son, Robert Hill, 1 sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Irvin Ewald of Kyle, 12 grandchildren, Lauren, Marty, Michael Sam, Ashley, Angela, Valerie, Samantha, Daniel, Clay, Melody, Jana and Emily, 2 great-grandchildren, Cameron and Colton. Pallbearers are Robert Hall, Brian Jones, Jason Harrison, Doug Rankin, Kyle Hughes, Ernie Pfaff and George Hall.
