Funeral services for Joseph ?Joey Wilson Knapps, 21, of Pritchett will be held at Ten O?clock AM Wednesday April 6, 2005 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road with Reverend C.C. Cower officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pritchett under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Joey passed away Saturday April 2, 2005 in Longview.
He was born May 5, 1983 in Longview, Texas. We say goodbye to our beautiful son, brother, grandson and friend with a touched heart and know that he is in the presence of God to watch over us and guide us through our futures here on earth.
Our memories of him will be our strength and the love that we all shared for him will be our bond. We will look forward to the day that he opens the gates for us to see his beautiful smile and feel the warmth of his touch.
He lived everyday to the fullest. Seeking adventure in everyway. He became and advanced scuba diver with dreams of going as far as he could in the diving world. He loved the outdoors, video games and music along with all his friends.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Jay and Alicia Knapps of Pritchett; mother, Suzanne Ouimette of Boston, MA.; step-father, Jay Roberts of Ruston, LA.; brothers and sisters, Jayson Knapps and wife Laura of Pascagoula, MS.; Melissa Garza of Pritchett; Courtney Thomas of Pritchett; Jaycob Knapps of Pritchett; Andrew Freeman of Pritchett; Conner Roberts of Ruston, LA.; grandparents, Finis and Doris Ann Greer of Longview; Gerald and Patricia Knapps of Pritchett; Roy and Lois Garza of Longview; cousin John Daniel Cutler and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday April 5, 2005 from 6pm until 8 pm.
