Joseph James Hickey's Obituary
A celebration of the life of Joseph James Hickey, 81, of Longview, will be 10 AM Monday, December 17, 2007 in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd., with Reverend David English officiating.
Interment will follow in Belmont Cemetery in Belmont, LA. at 3 PM.
Mr. Hickey was born April 3, 1926 to Joe and Florence Hickey, who preceded him in death.
He served his country in the U. S. Army Air Corp, entering October 20, 1943 and was honorably discharged from the Air Force Reserve as a 1st Lt. in March, 1961.
Joe is a member of First Baptist Church, Longview
Joe?s work was primarily in the oil and gas business transferring his family from Shreveport, LA to Longview in 1966. Following his retirement he served
the City of Longview for 10 years as a part time oil and gas inspector.
Mr. Hickey is survived by his loving wife, Hazel Hickey; children, sons, David Webb, Mike Webb and wife, Tracy, Dr. Rick Webb and wife, Blessed; grandchildren, Holly and Nakea Wilson, Robin and Grady Truchelut, Niki and Preston Hervey, Daniel and Leslie Webb and Laura Webb.
Also surviving are great grandchildren, Pierce and Hailey Hervey, Cody and Meagan Wilson, Ethan and Caleb Webb and Gavin and Caitlyn Truchelot; sister, Betty Goudeau of Lafayette, LA.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday from 9 AM until service time.
