Joseph Michael Bolton's Obituary
A celebration of life service for Joseph Michael Bolton, 59, of Jefferson, will be held at 2 PM Friday, October 27, 2017 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with Bro. Kenny Ray officiating. Mr. Bolton passed away Saturday morning in a local hospital. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service on Friday.
Joe was born on July 20, 1958 in Tyler Texas to Charles and Sybil Geneva Bolton. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy. He served on the USS Richard L. Page as a Navy Diver doing air and sea rescue, as well as a Second Class Sonar Tech. Following the Navy, Mr. Bolton worked for many years as a Police Officer in Marshall. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. He also enjoyed treasure hunting for Civil War Relics.
He was preceded in death by his two infant children; and his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brother and sister-in-law Ricky and Beth Bolton; his nephews, Ricky Bolton Jr, and Bobby Ray Bolton; and his former wife, friend and care giver for many years, Brenda Bolton Robinson.
The family ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Marshall Police Officer’s Association, 2101 N. East End Blvd. Marshall, Texas 75670, Attn: Tyler Owen.
